Kayaking starts from the village of Ban Soun Luoang, about an hour drive south of LuangPrabang. You will receive basic kayak instructions and practice with our experienced guides before heading down the Nam Khan River. We will kayak to the village of Ban Soun, a ‘khamu’ and ‘hmong’ village for a half hour visit before kayaking onward to Tad Sae Waterfall. Its limestone cascades and flourescent turquoise pools between the trees offer a stunning sight.
After a Lao-style picnic lunch and a swim at Tad Sae Waterfall, you continue paddling through beautiful countryside around 2 hours before reaching our Mahout Eco Lodge. |
