Van transfer from the Mahout Lodge to Ban Long Lao, a Hmong village south of Luang Prabang, we drive passing banana and pineapple plantations en route. Also, we will visit a ‘Khamu village’ along the way. After visiting Ban Long Lao we will start a three hour trek to the crystal clear water of just one of the springs that feeds Tad Kuang Si. a beautiful series of falls and pools. After decending on paths from the top of the waterfall we will have a picnic lunch served in a lush setting. Then you will have free time for swimming or bathing and/or relaxing by the many turquoise pools. We also recommend a visit to the Bear Rescue Center near the entrance gate close to the parking lot. There is a small walking path that leads down to the center from the road on the right side of the road. After visiting Kuang Si, we will drive back to Luang Prabang Or to our Mahout Eco Lodge.
